At the July 2017 Woman of Impact meeting, the Integrated Learning Approach program at Marshall Academy was again selected to receive our donation to purchase five new computers and video cameras to help with student accountability and personal progress tracking.
The programs has been so successful, they have expanded the programming from a targeted group of students to the entire student body at Marshall Academy.
We all know a child with a Neurologic Difference, such as autism. One in six children in the U.S. have one or more of these developmental disabilities (CDC). They struggle in our schools, communities, and even in our families. They are bullied and often live in isolation.
Marshall Academy has come to the rescue of this unique group of children. Because they lack the ability to develop relationships self-control, social skills, and organization, they are unable to live independently, as adults. Integrated Learning Approach is a comprehensive program, designed to teach these critical life skills.
