Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County was the recipient of the Women of Impact funding at our December 11, 2012 meeting.
Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County (SAS) provides comprehensive services to victims of sexual assault and abuse, and their loved ones, throughout Calhoun County. SAS began providing services in October 1996, after much work done by the Calhoun County Sexual Assault/Abuse Coordinating Council determined a need for such services. The Battle Creek Health System agreed to become the non-profit fiduciary agent, and the multi-disciplinary council secured the first grant funding to begin the program.
Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County is committed to providing empathic, non-judgmental, comprehensive services, support and advocacy for survivors and others affected by sexual assault or abuse; raising awareness of sexual assault; and engaging others to join in working toward a community free of sexual violence.
Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County offers comprehensive services to sexual assault victims, their loved ones, and the community. All services provided free of charge.
